Ethan sitting

Sitting is a new skill that we have learned and are getting better at daily. Here he is at daycare. Since he attends a Montessori school he had school pictures this week. When I get them back I will post and send them out.

Christmas

We all had a wonderful Christmas. We hosted Jereme's grandparents, siblings and niece. Ethan dressed up as Santa for the occasion.
Everyone wanted a picture with Santa! Ethan is 5 months. Ashley is 4 years.
Ethan's hat says baby's first Christmas. He cried when I took the outfit off him. Other than that he was happy baby again and loved the commotion.
I started a tradition of matching pj's. Not exact this year but I'm sure this will be fun in the future. This is the best family picture we can get when the camera is on a timer and we have two little ones! =)
Ethan waiting to open Christmas presents. He would hold the paper while we moved the package. This was his first gift opening experience.
Early in December we took Ethan to the downtown Macy's to get his picture taken with Santa. He fell asleep and work up right before this picture so he wasn't super happy. Lessen learned that we need to make sure he is awake before we get to Santa. I don't even think he really saw Santa, it was more waking up in a room with hot lights that made him cry. Once we left he was fine again.

Thanksgiving

We hosted Thanksgiving again this year. Ethan as a super good happy baby despite his normal routines (the few we have) being disrupted. He just goes with the flow. I think this is because we have been going places and visiting with people often since he was a week old.
Ethan was 4 months here and we had his 4 month appointment the day after Thanksgiving. I will have to update this post with his stats since I can't remember them right now. I made him a construction paper hat for the pictures. He is wearing a sweater that was mine and handmade by my grandma Gerry.
Jereme's grandparents and brothers made the trip to our house.
It is go great to see Ethan with his Great- Grandparents! Our family picture.

Ethan giggles

Ethan had two milestones this week. He started giggling. Mostly when he bounces in the toy in the video. Watch the first 12 seconds to hear him. The rest is new parents learner how to video their kid for the first time.

He doesn't mind laying down in the play mat but really likes to sit up and stand. We rigged this toy with blankets behind him and a pillow underneath so that he fits. He giggles like crazy when he bounces which makes us giggle.

Ethan also rolled over for the first time. Jereme saw it but I missed it because I was looking at pictures on the camera that I just took of him. I must live in the moment more. Baby milestones are so fun!

Halloween - part 2

The pictures are in reverse order but here is Ethan as a Lion for his first Halloween. And Mia as pumpkin which she is every year!
Ethan kept licking his mane.... he was really getting into character!
Ethan was 3 months here and couldn't sit up yet - hence the leaning over! He wore this to daycare too and had a picture with a friend who was a monster.
Jereme getting Ethan dressed. Ethan (and Jereme) are such good sports to let me dress him up all the time! Ethan's Halloween onesie. I bought bibs and onesies on clearance at the end of each holiday last year. Great way to save on stuff they wear once!

Halloween - part 1

I thought that it would be a great idea to take pictures of Ethan in a pumpkin for his first Halloween. Ethan must of agreed because he was such a good baby and didn't cry once! Mia even sat next to him with her costume on. What good kids I have! The pictures make me smile they are so cute! Hmmm... time to start thinking of what I can do with him for each holiday. Let me know if you have any suggestions! =)

October

We attended Ethan's first wedding in Green Bay for our friends Katie and Mike. Ethan didn't do well in his first road trip and Jereme had to take him out of the church during the ceremony but we still had fun. His sleeping and eating were off which made for a crabby boy. He took a lot of cat naps and was so afraid to miss anything. It was good for us to see this side of him - he is such an easy baby at home and we are so lucky! He did look cute in his wedding outfit though. Ethan's first trip to an apple orchard. Jereme and I go every year. It's one of the best fall activities here. Ethan really likes to sit and stand up. We put together this jumper for him but he is still too little for it and can't touch the ground. It will hang out in our basement until he's ready.
