August 2009

Before we left Oregon and Drive back to Minnesota, we went wine tasting with family in Dundee, Oregon.

The next day we drove to Seattle, Washington for the day. We walked around to see the Space Needle, Pikes Market, and ate fish on the sound. Mia had fun trying to avoid the sidewalk grates nearly tripping people passing by.

From Seattle we drove north of Spokane, Washington to mom and Cliff's cabin. We spent the night there, relaxed and took a boat trip down the river. This was Mia's first boat trip and she did really well. I have never driven across Washington before (just been to one side or the other) and had no idea how beautiful it was!

From the cabin we drove strait through back home. We found out why they call Montana, big sky country, it is such an amazing sight and goes on forever.

We hit North Dakota at night and found out about suicide frogs. We heard this noise hitting our car that didn't sound like a rock. Then we noticed little frogs on the road in front of us jumping all over the place. It's the craziest thing ever! When we got back I spoke with others who have had a similar encounter with suicide frogs. If you ever drive through North Dakota at night, don't say I didn't warn you!
